‘Anthony Martial To Leave Manchester United As A Free Agent’

French striker, Anthony Martial, will reportedly leave Manchester United at the end of the 2023-2024 season as a free agent.

Anthony Martial has not been at his best in recent years as he has been struggling with fitness issues and form.

Note that Martial used to be one of the biggest prospects in the world of football. The 28-year-old out-of-favor France international was so good then that the Red Devils paid an initial fee of £36 million and £21.6 million in potential bonus payments for his services in 2015.

Then, the said amount was the highest transfer fee ever paid to sign a teenage footballer in history.

Unfortunately for Anthony Martial, the Frenchman couldn’t live up to the expectations as he has currently lost his place at Man United and on the France national team.

So far this season, Martial has managed to play 19 games in all competitions in which he scored two goals and provided one assist.

His current contract with Manchester United will expire on June 30, 2024, with an option for a year extension. However, Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano claimed that there is no room for the extension as the Frenchman is on his way out of Old Trafford next summer.

“Anthony Martial will leave Man United at the end of the season, no doubts”, the transfer expert wrote on his X page.

“He’s gonna pick his favourite option as the next club in the coming months, now focused on recovery.”

Bayer Leverkusen continued their remarkable unbeaten streak to 46 games with a stunning late comeback against Stuttgart at the BayArena.

Despite the celebratory atmosphere as Bundesliga champions for the first time in their history, Leverkusen faced a tough challenge from Stuttgart.

The visitors dominated the early stages of the game, netting twice to scare Xabi Alonso’s men.

Chris Führich opened scoring for Stuttgart just minutes into the second half, followed by Denis Undav’s brilliant strike to put Leverkusen two goals down for the first time this season.

However, Leverkusen pulled one back four minutes after Undav’s goal, courtesy of Amine Adli’s placed effort into the corner of the net.

Despite Stuttgart holding tight their defense line and Alexander Nübel’s outstanding double save, Leverkusen pressed on for an equalizer.

In the final minute of stoppage time, Robert Andrich smashed home a chaotic set piece to level the score at 2-2.

The draw extends Leverkusen’s unbeaten run to 46 games, the first in the club’s history.

Chelsea clawed back from a two-goal margin against Aston Villa, only to be denied a last-gasp winner by a controversial VAR decision.

After falling behind early to a Marc Cucurella own goal and a Morgan Rogers strike, Chelsea mounted a shocking comeback.

Noni Madueke and Conor Gallagher scored to level the match, with Chelsea even thinking they had secured a dramatic late winner through Axel Disasi’s header.

However, VAR intervened, ruling out the goal due to a shove by Benoit Badiashile on Diego Carlos just before the cross.
