PEPT: “If dem born you well, light matches near Lagos properties” – Seyi Law threatens Obidients
Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law, has threatened supporters of the Labour Party (LP) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) angry over the outcome of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).
Naija Latest Gist reports that PEPT on Wednesday affirmed the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 election and struck out the petitions of Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar.
The judgement has generated mixed reactions from many Nigerians and political elites who claimed the judiciary was compromised.
In a post shared on Instagram, Seyi said those angered by the final verdict and attempt to protest or destroy properties in Lagos State do so to their detriment.
He wrote: “If dem burn you well, just light matches near Lagos properties in the name of anger. Body go tell you.”
Reacting to the post, Nigerian gospel singer and former international disc jockey, DJ Gosporella, cautioned Seyi, saying that no LP supporter would want to engage in violence but want a better Nigerian built on justifiable foundation.
He wrote: “Seyi, why would anybody want to do that? You don’t destroy what you are protecting. The Obidients want a better Nigeria for everybody built on justifiable foundations. You know it would have been a different case if the tables were turned around. But again, everybody is entitled to their opinion. Nigeria won’t burn, but something has shifted, and we will all witness it. God bless Nigeria”
Responding to the singer, Seyi wrote: “@djgosporella Sir, it is only obidients that want better for Nigeria. It is pure fallacy. Let’s stop it abeg. Nobody, I repeat. Nobody I have met that is more patriotic about Nigeria as I am. My choice and stand to vote in Tinubu is a personal conviction that I can defend with my life. I will criticise him constructively, and I will support him strongly without fear.
“No man is a messiah of another. None. People can not abuse me and insult my family carelessly and hope that it will end there. I know and believe Nigeria will make giant leaps under Tinubu. Nobody in the name of obidients will intimidate me to submission. If I was paid to support Tinubu, let God judge, but if it was from a place of sincerity and belief in his ability to make Nigeria better, may God help me be better, and Nigeria greater.”
Mixed reactions have trailed a recent video of controversial activist, Verydarkman serving food in China.
It would be recalled that the socialite had recently traveled to the Asian country for a function.
While there, he had met up with a Chinese fellow whom he had helped out after he lamented over being scammed.
A video shows him carrying a plate of meal in a waiter style, sparking reactions on whether he had taken a side hustle there.

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) star Cross Okonkwo has sparked mixed reactions online after launching an online ministry.
The reality TV star, who publicly declared his devotion to Christ in 2024, has now taken his faith to social media with a new initiative aimed at leading people to Jesus.
Cross, also known as Christopher Ikechukwu Okonkwo, has been sharing clips of his preaching on TikTok Live, where he addresses his followers, encouraging them to embrace salvation and become born again.

A new video that surfaced online confirmed that Baba Tee and his colleague Ijoba Lande are now back on cool terms with each other following the viral Truth or Dare saga.
In the video shared by Baba Tee via his official Instagram page today, March 16th 2025, Baba Tee links up with Ijoba Lande after accepting his apology following intimate encounter with Dara.
Recall that Baba Tee confirms that he had d@ggy with Ijoba Lande wife Dara during a truth and dare game in his house initiated by actress Marygold.
Even though Baba Tee had earlier tackled Ijoba Lande to provide evidence after the skit maker named him among te over 21 men who have slept with his wife Dare, Baba Tee later bactracked.
After that Baba Tee took to his official Instagram to tender public apology to Ijobla Lande following the encounter with wife Dara, he apologized several times.
However, Ijoba Lande accepts the apology from Baba Tee stressign that he has forgiven him.
He said; “From the bottom of my heart, I have forgotten and forgiven you.”
Meanwhile in s new video, Ijoba Lande and Baba Tee linked up with each other and by extension hugged each other during their conversation showing that they are good together and beef do not exist between them.
Sharing the video, Baba Tee appreciates Ijoba Lande for accepting his apology.
