November 11: “We Are Marching To Victory” – Gov Adeleke Assures Melaye

The governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has assured the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kogi State, Dino Melaye of victory at the forthcoming November 11 polls.
It was reported that Adeleke, who is the Chairman of the PDP Campaign Council for Kogi State, has said for Melaye to emerge victorious in the November 11 polls, all hands must be on deck to deliver him.
At the council’s inaugural meeting at the party National Secretariat in Abuja, Adeleke said he had defeated many incumbents in his political journey; all they need do is put God first.
He explained that the easiest way for Melaye to win the election was for all party members in Kogi State to cooperate with him.
Adeleke said, “We are marching to victory in the upcoming Kogi State governorship election. This gathering is another step towards our march into the Lord Lugard House, Lokoja.
“Few weeks ago, our national leadership inaugurated the campaign council at this venue. Today, we are inaugurating the sub-committees to take mobilisation and other associated work to the deeper level. I charged all members of the state committee to be committed to the main goal of this assignment.
“Our job is to ensure that our candidate, Senator Dino Melaye, is elected governor of Kogi State in the forthcoming election. So shall it be, and, it is done. As sub-committee members, we must contribute our areas of mandate to achieve this victory because it is a serious business. If you know you are not ready to sacrifice yourself so that we can get to that Promised Land, nobody is forcing you to be here.
“But if you are ready to join hands together to take Kogi and move Kogi forward to that Promised Land, I’m bringing you a template that worked in Osun State. I’m bringing you templates of hard work, success story. By so doing, I’m anointing all the members here so that we can get Kogi.
“However, it is God first, if we put God first, everything is possible. I have defeated incumbents several times. If we focus our mind and we have faith and, when you have faith, anything can be done. You must first of all believe in what we are doing. If you don’t believe in what we are doing, you have no business here. Dino and I have things in common. I’m from Osun West and, Dino is from Kogi West. As it was the turn of the West in Osun State, it is the turn of the West in Kogi State.
“We need peace for the election. We are talking to each other that we must have peace and, it’s already accepted. This is democracy. I have already met with Governor Yahaya Bello that we are coming to your state to campaign. Let the best man win. No fighting whatsoever, and he has agreed.”
In his remarks, the governorship candidate, Melaye, called for support from all Kogites and party members across the three Senatorial Districts and nine Federal Constituencies to emerge victorious during the November 11 election.

Pregnant lady dies during operation as Jehovah witness doctor refuses blood transfusion

A Nigerian man, Chris Adams, has taken to Facebook to mourn the tragic loss of his pregnant wife, Victoria Paris, who reportedly died during childbirth after a doctor allegedly refused to perform a life-saving blood transfusion due to religious beliefs.
In a heart-wrenching post, Adams recounted how his seven-months pregnant wife began experiencing severe abdominal pains and was rushed to Standard Maternity Clinic in the Borokiri Church Hill area of Port Harcourt.
He noted that the clinic had successfully handled the births of their other children in the past, but this time, things took a devastating turn.
Adams revealed that although the Caesarean section was successful, his wife lost a significant amount of blood and urgently needed a transfusion.
However, the doctor allegedly refused to administer the transfusion, citing her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness—a religion that discourages blood transfusions.
He also condemned the hospital’s poor operating conditions, claiming there was a power outage during the surgery, forcing the medical team to scramble to start the generator in the middle of the procedure.
Adams further alleged that the family was misled into signing the consent form and blamed the doctor’s religious beliefs for his wife’s tragic death.

He wrote; “We lost our beloved to the cold hands of death. My beloved was 7 months pregnant and started feeling pains in her stomach. She was rushed to Standard Maternity Clinic here in Port Harcourt at Borokiri Church Hill.”
“To be honest, it was at this hospital she gave birth to her other children, but this case was different. She gave birth through CS — I mean operation.”
“The doctor ran an operation on her, which was successful, but my beloved lost a lot of blood and needed blood to support her life.”
“But the doctor said she doesn’t do that in her hospital because she is a religious person (Jehovah’s Witness).”
“First, you forget your religion before running a hospital.”
“Second, you run an operation in your hospital with Nigerian NEPA light, which failed during the operation before they started running to put on the generator. My beloved was killed by the doctor’s religious belief.”
“The family was tricked to sign for the operation because of their selfish interest. Victoria Paris, we miss you. I NEED JUSTICE FOR MY BELOVED.”

“APC doesn’t have capacity to solve Nigerian problems” – El-Rufai talks tough

Immediate-past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has expressed reservations over the capacity of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to tackle the challenges confronting the country.
El-Rufai, who is a founding member of the APC, stated this during a conference on strengthening democracy in Nigeria in Abuja on Monday.
The conference was organised by the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development [Centre LS], the Centre for Democracy and Development, CDD, the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, WFD, the Peering Advocacy and Advancement Centre in Africa, PAACA, and the National Peace Committee, NPC.
He said: “I no longer recognise the APC. No party organ of the APC has met for the past two years. No caucus, no NEC, nothing. You don’t even know if it is a one-man show; it is a zero-man show,” he added.
He recalled that the original goal of forming the APC was to build a progressive party focused on fighting corruption, revamping the economy, and restoring security.
He, however, said these objectives have been abandoned.
“The problems are still there. However, I no longer believe that my party believes in confronting those problems.
“So, the distance between me and APC is widening, but I remain where I am because these problems remain the living problems of Nigerians, and they have to be addressed, and the only way to address them is through the instrumentality of the political parties,” he added.
On the states of opposition parties, the former governor said, “The way and manner opposition political parties are being targeted for destruction and the style and quality of governance in this country today is a national emergency. It should concern everyone.

“Your blessings will reduce if you collect money from pastors” – Pastor David Ibiyeomie (Video)

The general overseer of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has cautioned his congregation, advising them against accepting money from senior pastors so as not to reduce their blessings.
In a video making the rounds online, Ibiyeomie stated that this practice is not supported by scripture and can hinder one’s financial prosperity.
Addressing his church members, Ibiyeomie emphasized the importance of giving to senior pastors rather than receiving from them. He stated that giving financially to senior ministers can bring divine blessings and unlock greater prosperity.
David Ibiyeomie said, “May I tell you one raw truth? It may be hard, but never collect money from a senior man of God. You are reducing your blessing.”
Pastor Ibiyeomie shared from his personal experience, stating that he has never sought financial assistance from his spiritual mentor, Bishop David Oyedepo, even during difficult times.
He said, “I’ll be the last person to collect a dime from Oyedepo, not because challenges have not come. That’s not how it works.”
“There are senior men to me today, and I can sow into their lives. But I will not go and say, ‘Pastor Femi, can you please help me?’ It’s not scriptural. Don’t collect money from a senior man; you are reducing your prosperity. Sow into the senior man to draw virtue for the next level.”
