Aston Villa clawed back to secure a 3-3 draw against Liverpool in Mondays Premier League clash, thanks to a late double from Jhon Duran.

The young Colombian struck twice in the final minutes to rescue a point for Unai Emery’s side, which could prove crucial for them in the top-four race.

Villa trailed 3-1 when Emery brought on Duran in the 79th minute.

However, his impact was immediate, becoming a hero with two goals in three minutes, much to the delight of the home fans.

Liverpool took the lead early on when Emi Martinez fumbled a routine save, resulting in a funny own goal.

Villa then equalized through Youri Tielemans, who finished a brilliant move initiated by Ollie Watkins.

Liverpool regained the lead before halftime, with Cody Gakpo tapping in a cross from Joe Gomez.

After the break, Jarrell Quansah extended Liverpool’s lead, heading in from a Harvey Elliott free kick.

Villa’s unyielding spirit paid off when Duran capitalized on a loose ball to score from the edge of the box in the 85th minute.

His second came just three minutes later, pouncing on a deflected pass to slot past Alisson.

The result leaves Liverpool’s top-four hopes hanging in the balance, while Villa remain in contention for Champions League qualification.
